1913 SHOW.
Thefollowing suggestions have been received from different sources for improvement to the schedule for the 1913 H. Ai and P. Association show. The Secretary states that ho will be pleased to receive more suggestions that will tend, to improve the show, from anyone interested,' at the earliest date so as they can be put before the committee when the schedule is being revised:
From a number of breeders , requesting that the sheep clnsses be Drought ijiore up-to-date, attaching the following what they considered more suitable, and recommending mote classes even il prizes are reduced, and stating that it was not tho>value of the prize that was wanted but more suitable classes to the district:— Lincolns: i rain any age, 1 ram 2tooth, I ram lamb, 3 breeding ewes, 3 -tooth ewes, 3 ewe lambs; the same lor Leicesters, Bomnoy March and Downs. In fat classes: 3 wethers most money value. If the Society thought fit to add a champion ribbon in each class without money would be suitable. Ampngst other suggestions are ; That a class for wool and crewel •work be added to the schedule, 3^-*That arrangements be made with Ulitr-'^ailway Department re stock trains from the North. That a blackboard be erected on the ground giving the number of the class being judged and the number of class to follow. That the Stewards be notified when stock in their charge has been sold. That classes for cabbage, pumpkin, raaugolds, and other field roots be excluded. That classes for pen of heifers calves and best fed calves be 6 months and under. That class for champion horses be printed in the schedule. That the tent be cleared at 4.30 p,m.
