PORT ALBERT SHOW

The fort-third annual show of the Port Albert Agricultural and Horticultural Society was held at Port Albert on Friday. The Port Albert Fruitgrowers' Association made a combined show, and contributed in making a vory successful exhibition. The weather, an important factor, was fine. There was a large gathering of settlers and visitors, notwithstanding the several shows during the past week :and the prospective ones at early dates The evening meeting in the Temperance Hall was one of the most successful ever held in the district. Mr E. Monk presided. The programme was good, and the singing of iaveral of Auckland's leading artists will be remembered by the crowded audience with pleasure. Mrs Bellini, of "Wellsford, and Miss V. Becroft aSvsisted, the ioriner singing and the latter presiding at the piano. Mr F. Dye, of Kaukapakapa, one of the judgos, in a short speech, praised the show.
