Ihe following team has been chosen to represent Australia against England in ihe fourth test match : Sill, Armstrong, Cotter, Eansford, Brads-* ley, Cai.ter, Hordern^ Minnett, Matthews, Kelleway. and Maclaren (Queensland). The final selection will be made on the day of the match. Tables showing the numbers oi arrivals in and departures from Niew Zealand during the year 1911, with totals for the previous nine years by way of comparison, are published in last Thursday's* "Gazette". The total number of persons who arrived in the Dominion during 1911 was 41,389, and the departures during the year numbered 37,189 the excess of arrivals over departures for the year being 4200 persons. According to returns furnished by the immigration officers, 11,379 persons arrived from the United Kingdom, and 2755 persons depart ed therefor cftiring the year. From the Commonwealth of Australia the arrivals are returned as numbering 26,909 persons, and departures thereto as 80, 918 persons. Arrivals and departures from and to other countries were 3101 3316 persons respecively. Of the 41, 389 persons who came to New Zealand last year, 4555, or 11.01 per cent of the total, were children—i.e.^ under 12 years of age ; and of the 37,189 departures the children numbered 3269, or 8.79 per cent.
