Staff Officer for Senior Cadets, Auckland Militay District, assisted by Staff- Sergeant-Major Walker, No. 12 Area, has been tour ing the Helensville and N.Wairoa districts, swearing in Territorials and Se^ nior Cadets, during the last fortnight ■(from 11th to 27th, Jan.) Favoured by fine weather throughout, outlying drill-centres have been visited arid gratified results obtained, practically everyone notified to attend for attestation having done so, Both Territorials and Senior Cadets have shown much keenness about the preliminary insruction given at each place visited, and there has been an entire absence of rowdyism and anything like opposition to the scheme from parents or

lads.
