At the meeting of the Onehun^a Borough Council held on Monday evening, a letter was received from the borough solicitors, Messrs Russell and Campbell, stating that they had been called upon by Mr Hacua, asking them to accept service of a writ claiming £31,300 foi loss of water at Suth erland and Co./s tannery, Onehunga, alleged to be caused throuh the erection of the new pumping station. It was resolved that the borough solicitors accept the writ, and take the steps necessary to defend the action.
