CORRESPONDENCE.
WAIMATJKTJ
TO THE EDITOR,
Sir,—l aon't think Mr and Mrs Tincent Kerr-Taylor expected thanks for. any help they gave the Waimauku Hall Con-mittee, but while the com- j mittee were thanking the various helpers it would have, shown better education had they thanked all helpers instead of just a few and leave it to one of the public to acknowledge Mr Taylor's assistance. It doesn't do to Omit these sort of things. Mr Marcus Arlington's name was read off the list as having collected £10. Why •wasn't he thanked as well as Mr Entricar. The chairman acknowledged Mr Entrican had deducted £5 or £6 out uf ,what he had collected, for advertising, but I never heard if MiMarcus Adlington did the same. The committee should have thanked all helpers as well as those names specially mentioned. Mr and Mrs Vincent Kerr-Taylor say they have lived long enough in Waimauku to know the people and were not surprised, but I was. I am etc, ' Oxe of the Public.
