BRUCE—DRINNAN.

, St. Cuthbert's Church, Kaukapakapa, was on Thursday, 28th December, the scene of the marriage of Miss May Drinnan, third daughter of Mr John Drinnan, and Mr James D. Bruce. The Rev. R. Gordon-Kirgan performed the ceremony.

The oride, "who was given away by her father, was attired in a charming gown of white silk crepe trimmed with white silk lace and ribbon. She wore the customary veiland wreath of orange blossoms and carried a shower bridal bouquet.

The bridesmaids, Misses Violet Drinnan and Mamie Bruce, sisters of the bride and bridegroom respectively, were becomingly dressed in white silk trimmed with lace and ribbon, with hats to match, and carried pretty shower bouquets. Mr W. A. Drinnan acted as best man, and Mr Percy Drinnan as groomsman.

After the ceremony an adjournment was made to u Whare-pai," the residence of the bride's parents, where a wedding breakfast was partaken of, and the usual toasts proposed.

Mrs John Drinnan wore a black silk voile, cream lace and black sequin trimmings, black hat; Mrs Bruce, green costume, black and white hat; Mrs James Drinnan, black silk, black and white hat; Mrs. R. Drinnan, nattier blue costume, black hat; Mrs Wra. Drinnan, white silk, gold braid trimmings, vieux rose hat; Mrs Goodwin, black silk, blue hat; Mrs Scarlett, white embroidered dress, heliotrope hat; Mrs Melton, cream serge costume; Mrs C. Smith, black silk voile trimmed silk lace ; Mrs Gardner, white embroidered muslin ; Miss Gardner, pink costume ; Miss G. Gardner, navy blue and white; Miss Mabel Drinnan, cream silk; Miss Armstrong, pink; Miss A. Drinnan, white embroidered frock.
