A young man named Charles Wilsen, was charged with drunkenness and obscene language. It appears that accused, who is a seaman on the Bel! bird, had a quarrel with a man on the Aptea, oil Sunday last, when he made use of foul language. Goristable,i)riscoll, on being informed of the occurrence, arrested accused. He pleaded guilty to both charges, and after hearing the facts of the ] case, the Bench said that the qIC. fence for which accused jjjs&s^fc charged would have to be^put ? down, and reminded him thafyhe /. was liable to 12 months imprison-/ ment with hard labour.
