There was an average yarding, and prices were the same as late quotations. Dairy cows sold at from £6 to £8 10s; heifers, £4 lOsto £8 12s 6d; empty cows, L 3 to L 4 4s; calves, 20s to 38s. At Albert Yards on Friday, horses came forward in large numbers, and competition was not as keen as the previous week. Heavy draught horses sold at from L27to L 33 10s: medium draughts, L 22 to L2B ; light har ness horses, L 8 10s to Ll6 ; hacks and ponies, L 3 10s to Ll2 10s. At Westfield Yards on Wednesday fat cattle were yarded in less numbers than usual, and sold at an advance of 30s per head, prime oxen selling to 29s per 1001b., others 25a to 275. Cows and heifers, 22s to 245; steers sold at from L 7 3s 6d to Lll 17s 6d; no heavy weights yarded. Cows and heifers, Lsto L 7 12s 9d. Sheep were yarded in usual numbers, and showed no improvement in price. Best wethers sold to 20s 6d, others, 15s to 18s 9d; ewes, 12s to 15s 6d. Lambs were yarded in good supply, and sold at scarcely last week's rates ; best quality 12s 9d to 15s 9d; others 8s 9d to 12s 6d. P:gs were penned in small numbers, and sold at fully late rates. MARKET REPORT. Oats; Sales steady. Market slight* ly easier at 3s ex store. Wheat: Firm at 4s 6d ex store. Bran: Market easy at L 6 5a ex store. Pollard : In good demand at L 6 7s 6d ex store. Chaff: Southern finding ready sal« at LG 17s 6d ex store. Butter : Choice, 1 Id lb ; first quality, 10^-d; second grade, lOd; milling qualities, 9£d. ■Eggs : Find ready sale at IOAd. Fungus: Market firmer at 4d per lb.
