PUBLIC LIBRARY.
The opening of the new Public Library building is advertised to take place on Saturday nest Mr R. Monk, ex M.H.R. for the district, and a vory old resident, has signified his pleasure, in acceding to the request of the committee to perform the opening ceremony.
Although the building is not of very large^diinensions it will be a great improvement on the lean-to which has done .duty for so long, and which previously .was our stationmaster's residence. The full amount of subscriptions have been received to lift the Coronation Grant of £75 which was secured by the Town Board for the purpose of a new library building and we congratulate the people on securing such a nice birlding for the sum of £150.
After the opening ceremony is performed refreshments will be provided for those present. i
