At Helensville Yards on Wednesday Nov. B.,—Monthly Stock Sale.—There was an exceptionally good "yarding; 270 lioad of cattle being offered. Springing (small yarding) were rather dull of sale, best making from L6 to L9, other sorts L5 to L5 10s. Beef: Good yarding, 60 head teing oftered, and sold freely. Steors ranging from LS 6s to L! 0; cows and heifers, L6 5s to L6 17s 6d. Store cattle: really good yarding^; 2-£ to 3 years from L5 to L6 8 ; yearlings to 2 years old steers L2 10s to L4 10s ; 2-1- year old ' heifers, to L4 8 ; yearling to 18-month heifers, L3 3s to L3 15s';' fresh, empty cows, L4 to L4 15s in keen demand; calves, L2 10s to LI 15. Horses: There was a big yarding cf horses, but they failed to reach the reserve; two being sold at Ll3 and L8 respectively, the rest being trained to Auckland yards.

At our weekly Westfield fat stock, market on Wednesday, November 8, fat cattle totalled 358 head. . There was only a moderate demand, and values were from 10s to 15s below last <.]uoratiou?. Choice ox soM to Ll B.s, ordinary quality LI 3s to Ll 6s; cow and heifer, Ll Is to Ll 3s steers ranged in price, L6 10s to Ll3s 15s cows and heifers, L4 to L9 12 6d. iower. Small fresh-dropped, Gs to 18s (05 sold). There was an average entry of fat sheep, with only a fair demand. Values were irregular, and on the whole were easier. Prime heavy woolly weathers Ll 4 s to Ll 5 9 shorn Ll to Ll 2s 6d, medium woolly 19s to Ll 2s 6d, light to medium shorn 14s to 18s; extra heavy shorn ewes 17s 6d to Ll, heavy 15s to 17s, others 10s 6d to Ms (1510 sold).- The 362 lambs penned were firmer in price. Best heavy 18s to Ll 3s , lighter 14s to 17s 6d, small fis 3d to ]3s. The pigs pens we-ro again well filled. There was a strong demand at ruling high figures.
