At our weekly Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday, November 1. beef to the number of 411 were yarded including several lines of extra prime cattle, and prices for these Avere about equal to last report, but medium quality was a trifle easier. Choice ox sold to £1 l()s, medium quality £1 5s to £j 7s; cow and heifer, £l 2s to it I 4s; :steers ranged in price from £7 15s to £15 2s 6d ; cows'and heifers £3 15s to £9 2s 6d. Usual number of calves were penned and sold at late figures. Choice suckers, £1 16s to £2 IBs, lighter £1 5s to £1 15s ;small and fresh-dropped 5& to 18s (73 sold) Fat sheep formed au average entry. There was an improved demand, and values firmed to the extent of Is fid a head; extra heavy shorn wethers, £1 Is 6d to £1 3s ; heavy 19s to Ll Is lighter 10s to 18s 6d, best woolly Ll 1 to Ll 3s 6d, others 17s to Ll : heavy woolly ewes, Ll to Ll 3s ; others 14s to 17s ; shorn 12s to 17s (1684 sold). The .361 lambs jarded in excess of requirements, and taking the sale on a whole, prices were easily 5s to 6s below last week's rates. Prime heavy 16s to 19s 9s, otheis 12s to 15s light and small 6s to 11s. Pig-s wtre well represented. Competition was keen, and values remaiA high. Light baconers. L 2 15s to L33s ; large poi-kers, L 2 4s to L 2 12; lighter, Ll 8s to Ll 18s; slips, 16s to Ll ; weeners, 8s to 14s (214 sold), At the Hay market on Fuday last there wes an average y arding of horses si/Id at from L3l to L4O; express cart classes, L 22 10 ;to L2O 10 light harness sorts, L 9 10s to Ll3 ss.
