The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited report as follows:— At Westfield Yards on Thursday last we held our weekly sale of dairy and store cattle. There was a good yaiding, and prices were the same as late quotations. Dairy cows and heifers close to profit sold at from £710 to £9 15s, others £4 5s to £7 ; Empty cows, £3 to £3 18s; yearling?, mixed sexes, £2 2s to £2 18s; bulls, £4 to £5 15s. At the Albert Yards on Friday horses were yarded in usual numbers, and sold at late rates. Draught horses, £30 to £37 10s; medium ditto, £19 JOs to £29 hacks and light harness horses, £5 to £15 ; gig, £14 10s dog cart, £15. At Waiuku Yards on Saturday there was a large yardiug of cattle of all classes, which sold at fully late rates. Three to four-year-old steers sold at from £6 to £7 13s; two to three-year-olds, £4 10s to £6 5s ; yearlingtolß-months steors £2 12s 6d to £4 5s ; " Empty cows £3 3s to £4 12s 6d ; calves 15s to 37s ; bulls £3 to £10 ; beef at fully Westfield rates. Pigs, weanors, 8s 6d to los. Sundries at satisfactory prices. Horses £18 18a. At Westfield Yards on Wednesday fat cattle were yarded in full numbers of beef, which sold at full last week's rates. Ox beef sold at 30s per IGOlb ; cows 20s to 25s ; steers sold at from L 7 10s to Lls ; cows and heifers, L 4 12s 6d to L 9 7s 6d; calves' pens were well filled, and sold at high rates. Heavy vealers, L 2 14s to L 3 17s 6d medium weight, Ll -Is to L 2 10s ; others 3s to 16s. Sheep were yarded in large numbers and declined in price from Is to 2s per head. Best wethers, in wool sold "at from 20s to 24s ; ewes 16s 6d to Ll ; shorn weathers, 16s 6d to 225; ewes, 14s 9d to 19s Lambs in full supply. Best sold at from 13s to 19s 6d, others 8s to 12s 3d Pigs were yarded in good numbers, I and sold at late rates. MARKET REPORT, Oats: In good demand at 3s 7d and 3s 8d ex store, Wheat: Steady at 4s od ex store. Bran : Sales firm at L 6 12s 6d, ex store. Pollard : Steady demand, Sales at L 6 10s, ex store. Chaff : Southern. L 7 ss. ex store; Australian, L 6 17s 6d ox store. Barley : Cape, 3s lOd, ex store. Butter: Choice, lld; first grade, lOJd; second grade, lo|d ; milling qualities up to lOd. HIDES, SKINS, AND TALLOW. We submitted and sold large catalogues of bides, skins, tallow on Tuesday, all lines meeting with good competition at lato rates. Hides : Market firm. We quote:— Extra stout ox, 7d to 7fd ; stout ox, 6-J-d to 6£d ; medium ox, 6^d to 6.} d ; light ox, 6d to 6fd ; cows best lines' 6-jd to 6gd. good 61 to GJd, inferior 5Ad to oi'd; stags -i.Jd to 5d ; calf-skins best to SJa, good (Ud to 7Ad, cut and damaged 3d to Gd, kips Gd to Ogd. Sheepskins : Market brisk. Best butchers' skins, large to 7s, good lines 58 3d to os lOd, medium 4s to 4s 6d, small 3s to 3s 8d ; country dry skins,' large to 6s 6d, medium 3s Gd to 4s 6d, small ls to 2s 6d j lambs and pells.
