An organ recital was given qm Mr " W. T. Sharp, in tho Presbyterian Church on Friday evening last, 13th inst., the attendance thereat being good. Mr Sharp is one of the leading organists in Auckland, and gave av'.'.] very much appreciated programme ;l ranging from a light minuet to the i immortal " Hallelujah " chorus. Vb- ■'/ cal items were given by Mrs Page; i~ and Messrs Drower and Page. An offertory in aid of the church was taken up during the recital. The organ, a-vory fine instrument, was kindly lent for the occasion by Mr Meredith. Mr Sharp gave one or two items before the service last Sunday ■ evening, and also played the organ at that service. The Rev. Kirgan hopes ;: to be able to arrange for another recit- *V al by Mr Sharp in Dpcember next. If this eventuates it will be a boon to the people of this town as we do not often have the chance of hearing jgtfA^ music of this class.
