SMITH—HAEEISON.
A prettj wedding was solemnised on Tuesday, October 3rd, at the residence of the bride's parents, when Miss Francis Louisa Harrison, fourth daughter of Mr F. Harrison, of Tangaihi, Northern Wairoa, was married to Mr James Smith, second son of Mr W. W. Smith, of Clareville, Wairarapa, by the Eev. Father Jansen.
The b"»'ide, who was given away by her father, was becomingly attired in a dainty frock of silk taffeta, trimmed with silk lace and insertion. She also wore tb.6 customary veil and wreath, of orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquef of white flowers and maiden hair fern, .
The bridesmaids, Misses Gertrude Harrison and Emily Smith (sistPi'3 of the bride and bridegroom), wore pretty cream lustre dresses, trimmed with silk insertion, with picture hats to match, and carried bouquets of white and purple stock.
The groomsmen were Messrs J. Burgess (unole of tho bridegroom), and H. Smith.
After the ceremony, the wedding breakfast was partaken of, at which the usual toasts were honoured.
In the afternoon the happy couple left by the s.s. Baroona for Auckland en routo for Rangataua amid showers of rica and best wishes.
The bride's travelling dress was. a brown costume with toque to match. The bridegroom's presents to the bride was a gold bangle, and to the bridesmaids, gold brooches: set with pearls.
The wedding presents were numerous and costly.
