A LADY LECTURER ABOUT TO

VISIT HELENSVILLE. "

The No-License Party are actively organising in the Kaipara Electorate, Mr E. J. F. King, the organiser of the Kaipara No-L:«3iase League, is at present in this -district arranging for the visit of Mrs Harrison Lee Cowie, the world famous temperance lecturer. Mrs Cowie is a woman of exceptional ability; she'is recognised as one of the finest lady orators in the world. She has visited Great Britain several times, and conducted highly successful missions. Mrs Cowie will be in Hel.ensville on Thursday, Sept. 28th Mr Wesley Spragg, President of the New Zealand Alliance, has also promised to be present. / - In the afternoon a conference of workers will be held in the Foresters' Hall at 3 p.m. Mrs Cowie will speak:on " Enthusiasm, Equipment and Enterprise." Mr Spragg will preside, and give a talk to workers. Mr; King will also speak on • How to organise to win."

At 8 p.m. a monster no-license rally will be held in the Hall when both Mrs Cowie and Spragg with address the meeting. Miss Alice Rimmer, now of Auckland but well known to Helensville residents will favour the audiences at both the afternoon and evening meetings. It is expected that these meetings will produce a record for this district, for both importance and attendance. Mr King idelivering a series of illustrated talks this week m the surrounding townships Tonight he is at VVoodhill, Thursday at Kumou Friday at Riverhead, Tuesday at 1 arakai, and Wednesday at Kaukapakapa. His subject will be " Facts, Fun, and Fiction He will show a number of Lantern Lecture Illustrations.
