HELENSVILLE WATER AND DRAINAGE SCHEMES.

Sir, —In last week's issue of your paptu I saw that t:ie Town Board had intimated that the Government had approved of a loan for Llo,ooo for drainage and water supply purposes at Helensviile, and that the question would shortly be submitted to the ratepayers. As' one who is interested in the progress of the town, like many otters am I confess; quite ignorant of the details of- these schemes, and the intentions of the Board regarding the same. I ehould like to know if any opportunity will be given us to discuss.and consider the whole matter for I feel that^borroyring such a large sum of money in our small community should receive the fullest consideration from the ratepayers, and that nothing rash be done. 1 would suggest that some of the Town. Board members who are pushing these schemes forward and know all, about it, place the particulars before' the ratepayers through your paper ? lam sure you will not mind publishing it, as it is of so much importance.. to all property owners in the town,
