At the Westfield yards on Thurs-

day, at out usual dairy and store sale, cattle were yarded in good numbers, and sold at fully late rates. Best dairy cows and heifers, olose to profit, sold at from £8 10s to 4,9 15s, others £6 10s to £8 ; backward and aged sorts, £3 10s to £5 15s ; empty cows, £2 10s to £3 t7s; yearling to 18 month steers, *£3 6s to £4 4s ; Jersey heifers, £3 7s 6d to £6 ; calves, 20sto£2 7s,

At Albert yards on Friday last horses were yarded in usual Dumbors, and sold at late rates. Heavy draught sold from £30 to £41 j medium draxight, £18 to £27; light harness horses and hacks, £7 10s to £16; ponies, £2 10s to £7.

At the "Westfield yards on Wednesday fat cattle were yarded in good numbers, and sold at higher rates, extra prime oxen. selling to 28s per 1001b ; others 225. 6d to 25s per 1001b; cows and heifers, 21s to 24s per 1001b Steers sold at from £5 17s 6d to £13 12s fid ; cows and heifers, £4 5s to £8 7s 6d. The veal pens were well filled, and again sold at high values. Heavy vealers sold at. from £3 15s to £4 6s ; medium vealers, £2 to £3 2s, lighter sorts £1 to £1 12s; smaller and fresh dropped, 3s to 10s. Sheep were yarded in more than usual numbers, and with the exception of those of first quality, sold at lower rates. Best quality' wethers, 17s 6d to 23p; others, 15s to 17s ; ewes, 12s 6d to 19s. Hoggets were yarded in full numbers, and sold at late quotations. Extra well done sold to 15s 6d ; others 5s 6d to 10s. Pigs were yarded in loss uunibers than usual, and sold at Jate rates. No baconers were yarded. Porkers, £1 14s to £2 7s; slips, 14s to fßs.

We held a dairyieow sale at Ohaupo on Friday last, July Htb, wkcn we offered 547 cews and lieifers. There was a good attendance of 'buyers and all sold except a few lines of heifers, which wore not forward enough in calf, or poor or undersized. Prices were : Dairy cows, young and good condition, £7 to £8 Los; others, more aged, £5 12 6dto £6 10s; cows in low condition, £4 to £o 5s ; cull cows, £3 to £3 7s (id ; three year old heifers, with size and condition, £6 2s (Sd to £7 5s ; others, less- condition, £5 2 Gd to £5 10s; smaller lieifers, £-1 Jos to £4 17s Gd.

At To Awamutu on Saturday we had a medium entry of catde, also sheep and horses. /There "was keen competition throughout, and most sat^ isfactory prices were realised for every thiug- at auction.
