FAREWELL SOCIAL.
On Friday evening July 7th the ladies and gentlemen of Port Albert tendered a social to Mr and Mrs Seed who are leaving the district. Although the notice given was short a goodly crowd collected at the Hail, where a very pleasant evening was spent. On behalf of the district Mr 1. P. Becroft wished Mr and Mrs Seed every success ""and happiness in their newhome. During their stay in Port Albert Mr and Mrs Seed have associated themselves with every Social moyement. Mr Seed, manager of the local butter factory, was a prominent member of the cricket club, where his very genial disposition will be very much missed. Mrs Seed was an active member of the Ladies Committee of the Port Albert show. She did all she could to further the success of the show. She will bo greatly missed on this committee, Mrs Seed, also, was an enthusiastic member of both the Ladies Hockey, and the Tennis Club.
It is the general wish of the district that both Mr and Mrs Seed will still carry on their pleasant associatons with the people, of Hamilton, where they intend taking up their abode.
