BRITISH OFFICERS AT CABUL.
A Calm! telegram, dated October 22m1, in the Times says;—“The membets of the Frontier Commission will leave Onbul to-morrow. They have been treated with great hospitality by the Amcor, and allowed to visit all parts of the city and neighborhood freely. An imposing Durbar was held on the 20th inst , when the Ameer in the presence of the assembled chiefs, assuted Sir W. Ridgeway in emphatic terms of It's loyally to English alliance. On tlm followin'* day the Ameer entertained the Mission in his magnificent palace recently built, anil to-day the (.'ommanderin-CliK fa ml military officers entertain Colonel Ridgeway and staff in tbe city. Tomormw a review of troops will be held. Great improvements have been effected in Cabul. G-od mads, gat dens, and bridges have been constructed, and telephones .and (h • ehcric light are being introduced The people, and especially the troops, are vety friendly.”
