DILLON AND O'BRIEN THROWN FROM CONVEYANCES. RUSSIAN PRESS on CANDIDATURE OF PRINCE FERDINAND TO THE THRONE OF BULGARIA. (Received December 20, 1.10 a.m.) London, December 18. At a meeting between the AgentsGeneral and Mr Stanhope yessterday, the Secretary of State for the Colonies announced that the position of affairs in regard to New Guinea and the New Hebrides was unchanged. Nego tiations were proceeding between the British and French Governments rein, tive to the French occupation of the New Hebrides. Garrick has strongly, but vainly, urged the Government to make some definite arrangement in regard to New Guinea.
In receiving the deputation for urging on the Imperial Government the Postal Telegraphic arrangement between England and the colonies, the Right Hon. C. Raikes, PostmasterGeneral, deprecated any anticipation of the decision which should be arrived at by the forthcoming conference at which the Postal arrangements would be discussed. He considered that a redaction of telegraph rates wonld be better effected by the rivalry of the different companies than by subsidies being granted. (Received December 20, 1.10 a.m.)

The plan of campaign adopted by the no rent agitation has been proclaimed an illegal conspiracy, and those partaking in it are liable to prosecution. It is also proclaimed that the money collec'ed by the agitators will be seized by the Government.
Dillon, O'Brien, Harris, and O'Shea, who were brought up at Loughrea charged with obstructing the proper payment of rent, will not be further proceeded against at that place, but instead, these defendants, together with Redmond and O'Reilly, will he brought up to Dublin charged with conspiracy. Dillon and O'Brien, while driving yesterday, were thrown from their conveyances, and Dillon's injuries have been of so serious a nature as to confine him to bed.
