DREADFUL REVENGE BY INDIANS.

ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN SETTLERS KILLED. Intelligence from Ottawa states that the Blood Indiana from Crow Creek Agency, in the North-West Territory, are on the war-path to avenge the murder of six of their tribe by the Gros Ventre Indians.

They first killed 100 whites, including two Catholic missionaries, the agent at the Reservation, and then marched for the Gros Ventre settlement. On the way they encoantered 60 Gros Ventres, and a fight ensued. It is reported the Bloods lost nine killed, 30 wounded, and the Gros Venires 50 killed.

It is estimated by the Canadian authorities that at least 25,000 dollars woith of property belonging to the settlers has been destroyed. A large force of mounted police has been ordered to the scone, and it is thought will require the aid of the to suppress the movement.
