The Hon. Peter Lalor. Speaker of the Assembly, has announced his in ten* tion of shortly retiring into private life. The conference of delegates of New South Wales, South Australia, and Victoria, to discuss the Postal Service between the three colonies and the United Kingdom will hold its first sitting tomoi row.
Adelaide, November 17
The reports from the Teetnlpa goldfields continue favourable. Two loads of wash-dirt yielded one pound weight of gold. The South Australian Parliament was prorogued to-day.
