Germany, imports:— The Eticaly[»fci Extract proved magnifi cently successful in veiy severe contiu sions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scaldings, broken ribs, and limbs. It effectually stays all inflammation and swellings. Also, the services derived from it in all disorders of the respiratory organs, as croup, diphtheria, in flammation of the bronchial tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, ifcc . are not, to be equalled by any other medicament. Lister, M.D., Professor, &c., London, the loading surgeon of the present (ime, stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in Gaillard’s Medical Journal, that the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antisep tic (means of preventing putrefaction). (American Medical Jonrnal, Novem ber, 1881). —In diseases of the kidney either active congestion or suppression (uraemia) all albuminuria, dropsy, lithia sis, nothing will equal in its action Eucalypti Extract. Doses, five to eight drops in a little sweetened water twice or three times daily SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From American Medical Journal Jan., 1882). —Pitzer, M.D., Professor Theory and Practice of Medicine, American Medical College, says—lt is the best remedy known in typhoma larial, typhoid fever, erysipelas, diph them, scarlet fever, small-pox, <fec.; it effectually retards the disintegration of the animal fluids, which might result in a general breaking-up of the blood and in death. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From St. Louis Electric Medical Journal, Dec., 1881). —Cancer of the Tongue—Patient, Mrs W , 35 years old. Evidence of scrofulous dia thesis. Prescribed four drops to hi* taken three times daily ; also, tongue wetted three times with the Eucalypti Extract. Treated as above for four weeks, then discharged cured. (J. H. Ruttley, M.D., Prof., &c., Philadelphia).—Since, in the case oi Mr Mercer, of Kerang, who had been advised by the medical officers of the Bendigo Hospital to have his tongue removed, like splendid results have attained through the application of the Eucalypti Extract. (From the Clinical Record, of August, 1881) —Surgical Clinic of Professor M‘Tntyre, College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Louis Scirrhus of Breast—Excision; Eucalypti Extract employed as spray, and dressing. Eight days after operation Professors Bauer and M'Tntyre noted the following con dition No swelling, heat nr discolora Lion, near or in the wound, which has united fully; the patient allowed to attend to her household duties again. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Clinical Record, Sept. 1880).—The American medical profession uses, in gonorrheea, as an injection, an emulsion of one ounce gum Arabic. in 30 or 40 ounces of water, applied four times daily. Eight drops given inwardly once ditily, prevents effectually con. tamination of the blood in foul disease. CAUTION. SANDER AND SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (St. Louis Clinical Record, Jan 1882) —Hazard, M.D. Prof, of Patlio logy and Diseases of the Mind, states We have examined half a dozen specimens of Eucalypti Extract. Sander’s preparation was the only one which corresponds to scientific tests.
