The Kumara Times. Published Every Evening. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER. 6, 1886.

Ix another column we publish some resolutions adopted at a meeting at Dillman’s, on Saturday night of miners interested in the working of the No. 1 slndge-channel. It was stated at the meeting that during the last two months the channel had been working very badly, in many shifts not over half time having been made; and now, it is stated, every shift is alike. A deputation was appointed to meet the manager and report to-morrow evening, and we hope that steps will be taken to remedy the evil, which of coarse is a matter of vital importance to the large proportion of men woiking in the No. 1 channel.
