CHARGE FOR TANK OR WHEEL WATER.
To R. J. Seddon, Esq., M.H.R. Kumara. Sir—ln reply to your letter of the 27ih ultimo, forwarding a complaint from Mr George Watson with reference to the amount charged for use of tank water from the Kumara Water-Race. I have to state that the reduction recently made in the price of sluicing water does not apply to tank or wheel wa ter. I find on inquiry that Mr Watson is being charged tho same price as others taking water for the same purpose. I have, &c., W. J. M, Larnach, Minister of Mines.
