Telegrams from Perth, West Australia, state that the official reports received there show that the prospectors at Kimberley are getting 2 ozs. of gold per day. (Received August 20, 12.50 p.m.) August 20. The Hon. Sir Wra. F. Stawell, Knt., has resigned his position as Chief Justice of Victoria. It is expected he will be succeeded by Mr Justice Higginl>othnui. Sydney, August 20. Arrived, yesterday afternoon, the steamship Wakatipu, from Wellington. The Mayor of Sydney has issued an invitation to the Mayors of Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand to a Municipal Jubilee gathering, to be held in October next. Adelaide, August 19. Arrived, the Orient Company's steamship Iberia, with English mails to the 16th July.
