The cricket match Australians v. Gloucestershire was con tinned to day at Clifton. The Australians continued their first

innings, which closed for 211, or nine runs less than their opponents scored. The Home team then went in for their second innings, and at the conclusion of the day's play had put together 196 runs for the loss of five wickets. The principal scores made for the Australians were—Jones, caught, 67 j and Blackbam, ' bowled, 60. For Gloucestershire, Brian scored 70 before being disposed of. (Received August 9, 0.30 a.m.) August 7. The cricket match Australians v. Gloucestershire was concluded to-day at Clifton. The Home team, with 6ve wickets down for 196, continued their second innings which closed for 358, W. G. Grace playing a splendid game for 110. The Australians, requiring 368 runs to win, went in for their second innings, and when play was stopped they had scored 173 for five wickets. Giffen, caught, 43, Scott, bowled, 75, were the most successful batsmen. The match was declared drawn.
