WARDEN'S COURT.
Friday, August 6. [Before J. Giles, Esq., Warden.] APPLICATIONS. Tbe application of William Morris and two others to construct a tail-race about 56ft. below the shaft in No. 2 sludge-channel, which had been twice postponed, was now granted; but certificate not to issue until transfer effected of No. 2 channel. James Stewart, by his agent Mr Hannan, applied for a residence area at Mignonette Elat.—Gran fed. Joseph Meade and others, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied for a special site for stacking stones at Larrikins.— Granted. George Watson and others, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied to construct a tai'-race at Larrikins terminating at themain tail-race, 350 feet below the shaft.—Granted. Rudolph Netzband, as trustee for certain purties, applied to constsuct a branch race, 15 chains in length, contiguous to the flushing shaft of the Government sludge-channel.—The application was objected to by Joseph Meade and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, for the reason that it included a portion of their ordinary claim, and
would interfere with the proper working of the same.—-Granted as far as upper boundaries of Meade's claim, and no farther. Henry Richards and party applied to construct a tail-race at (he northern boundary of their claim at Larrikins, terminating at the Government sludgechannel, about one chain above the junction with No. 2, and thereby using No. 2 channel.—The application was objected to by Alex. Reid and party, on the ground that the said tunnel crossed their registered tuanel, and would interfere with their workings.— The Warden referred the application to arbitration, under clause 28, page 178 Mines Act. This concluded the business of the Court.
