ANDER A SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Deutsche Med Wochenscluift 1879), Mosler, XL, D. Professor at the University, Griefswald, Germany, reports : Ihe Eucalypti Extract proved magnifp cently successful in very severe contusions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scalding*, broken ribs, and limbs. It effectually stays all inflammation and swellings. Also, the services derived from it in all disorders of the respiratory organs, as croup, diphtheria, in llammation of the bronchial tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, ifec., are not to he equalled by any other medicament. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. Lister, M.D., Professor, Ac., London, the leading surgeon of the present time, stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in Gail- ] lard’s Medical Journal, that the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antisep tic (means of preventing putrefaction). (From American Medical Journal Jan., 188’2). —Pitzer, M.D., Professor Theory and Practice of Medicine, American Medical College, says—lt is the best remedy known in typhoma larial, typhoid fever, erysipelas, diph theria, scarlet fever, small-pox, Ac.; it effectually retards the disintegration of the animal fluids, which might result in a general breaking-up of the blood and in death. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From St. Louis Electric Medical Journal, Dec., 1881).—Cancer of the Tongue—Patient, Mrs W , 35 years old. Evidence of scrofulous dia thesis. Prescribed four drops to bp taken three limes daily ; also, tongue wotted three times with the Eucalypti Extract. Treated as above for four weeks, then discharged cured. (J. H. Mr Mercer, of Kerang, who had been advised by the medical officers of the Bendigo Hospital to have his tongue removed, like splendid results have attained through the application of the Eucalypti Extract.
