i We publish to-day the first of a series | of letters by Mr Daniel Bay butt, one of j the tjroy Valley Kimberley party, who j sailed with the Kumara miners in the 1 steamship Hauroto, from Wellington to Sydney, en route to Kimberley. The letter is full of interest to readers of the Kumara Tores; and the intelligent, succinct, and useful information and advice given will doubtless be appreciated by all, but particularly by those who did or may still entertain the least idea of migrating to Kimberley. Mr P. D. Todd to-day announces his resolution to hold a great clearance sale of first-class Winter drapery and clothing, in order to make room for lai’ge purchases of Spring goods from the Home markets. Immense reductions are made in all the departments, as will be seen by the price list, which appears on the next page. An inspection is invited. Commander Edwin wired to-day, at 11.45 a.in.—“Bad weather may be expected between west and south and southeast ; glass further fall.
