(Received July 2, 5.15 p.m.) . London, July 2. The statement previously telegraphed (hat 265 members were elected without opposition was erroneous. ■■ Candidates for that nnmber of seats are unopposed, and they represent the party divisions as stated, namely—--55 Gladatonites, 46 Unionists, 96 Conservatives, and 68 Parnellites. The actual returns of those elected without opposition show—ls Conservatives, 8 Unionists, 8 Gladstonites, and include the following, in addition to the names already telegraphed : Sir Robert Fowler, and John Hubbard (Conservatives), for the City of London; 0. P. Villiera (Liberal), for Wolverhampton South Division; Edward Algernon Percy (Conservative), for St. George, Hanover Square; Sir H. James, (Liberal), for Bury, Lancashire; Wra. A. Hunter, James Bryce, Peter Essleruont, and Robert Farqaharson (Liberals), for Abeideen seats; Sir Wm. Grantham (Conservative), for Croydon; Charles James, and Henry Richard (Liberals), for Merthyr-Tydvil; Colonel Richardson Gardner (Conservative), for Windsot ; Sir Charles Forster (Liberal), for Walsall. (Received July 3, 1.5 a.m.) July 2. The announcement that Davitt intended to oppose the return of the Marquis of Hartington for the Rossendale division of Lancashire is stated to be erroneous. (Received July 3, 12.50 p.m.) Laier. A grand review and sham fight took place to-day at Aldershot, 15,000 troops of various branches of the service being in the field. Most of the Royal Family and members of the diplomatic bodies were present, a special euclosure being reserved for Royal and visitors from India aud the colonies. The weather was bril liant, and the proceedings were of an imposing character. The following further unopposed returns to the New Parliament are announced : Gladstone, for Midlothian ; Lord John Maimers (Conservative), for Melton; Henry C. Raikes and Beresford Hope (Conservatives), for Cambridge University. (Received July 3, 1.15 p.m.) July 3. The election returns now show 47 Conservatives, 10 Unionists, 13 Gladstonites, and 8 Pauiellites. The following old members are. reelected : Lord Edward Cavendish (Liberal), for Derby, West Division; Edward Stanhope (Conservative), lor Horncastle; Sclale.r-Booih (Consei vative), for Blackpool; Sir J. R. Mowbray and J. G. Talbot (Consei van'vet.), for Oxford University ; Sir John Lubbock (Liberal), for London University ; Macdonakl (Conservative), for Edinburgh University; James Campbell (Conservative), for Glasgow University; andH. J. Trotter (Conservative), for Colches'er.
