In consequence of the large number of passengers which is expected to be curried by the Triumph to Derby for the Kimberley goldfields, Government has decided to put the Emigration Act in force. This is believed to be the first time such a thing has been done in New Zealand. This Act fixes the amount of space allowed to each passenger. No intoxicating liquor is to be sold on l>oard, under the penalty of a fine of £SO.
