SANDER & SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Deutsche Med Wochenschrift 1879), Mosler, M.D. Professor at the University, Griefswald, Germany, reports: — The Eucalypti Extract proved mngnifi; cently successful in very severe contusions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scaldings, broken ribs, and limbs. It effectually stays all inflammation and swellings. Also, the services derived from it in all disorders of the respiratory organs, as croup, diphtheria, in flamrnation of the bronchial tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, (fee, are not to be equalled by any other medicament. SANDER AND SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. Lister, M.D., Professor, <fec., London, the leading surgeon of the present time, stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in ; Gaillard's Medical Journal, that the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antisep tic (means of preventing putrefaction). SANDER AND SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (American Medical Jonrnal, Novem ber, 1881). —In diseases of the kidnoy either active congestion or suppression (uraemia) all albuminuria, dropsy, lithia sis, nothing will equal in its action Eucalypti Extract. Doses, five to eight drops in a little sweetened water twice or three times daily SANDER AND SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From American Medical Journal Jan., 1882).—Pitzer, M.D., Professoi Theory and Practice ef Medicine, American Medical College, says—lt is the best remedy known in typhoma larial, typhoid fever, erysipelas, diph theria, scarlet fever, small-pox, &c; it effectually retards the disintegration of the animal fluids, which might result in a general breaking-up of the blood and in death. SANDER AND SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From St. Loniß Electric Medical Journal, Dec, 1881).—Cancer of the Tongue—Patient, Mrs W , 35 years old. Evidence of scrofulous dia thesis. Prescribed four drops to be taken three times daily ; also, tongue wetted three times with the Eucalypti Extract. Treated as above for four weeks, then discharged cured. (J. H." Ruttley, M.D., Prof., &c., Philadelphia).—Since, in the case o! Mr Mercer, of Kerang, who had been advised by the medical officers of the Bendigo Hospital to have his tongue removed, like splendid results have attained through the application of the Eucalypti Extract. (From the Clinical Record, of August, 1881).—Surgical Clinic of Professor M'lntyre, College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Louis Scirrhus of Breast—Excision: Eucalypti Extract employed as spray, and dressing. Eight Hays after operation Professors Bauer and M'lntyre noted the following con. dition :—No swelling, heat or discolora tion, near or in the wound, which has united fully ; the patient allowed to attend to her household duties again. SANDER AND. SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Clinical Record, Sept. 1880).—Tht American medical profession uses, in gonorrhoea, as an injection, an emulsion of one ounce gum Arabic, in 30 o 40 ounces of water, applied four times daily. (St. Louis Clinical Record, Jan. 1882).—Hazard, M.D. Prof, of Patho logy and Diseases of the Mind, states: We have examined half a dozen specimens of Eucalypti Extract. Sandei's preparation was the only one whiih corresponds to scientific tests. Our preparation is the onl" existing volatile extract, free cf«u resinous pur tides. All other preparations of the Eucalyptus, no matter where manufactured, are crude, resinous oils, irritating and blistering, rather causing inflan> mation than staying it, anil of rcadanger if erronously applied in throat diseases, <kc.
