SANDER & SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. | (Deutsche Med Wochenschrift 1879), Mosler, M.D. Professor at the University, Griefswald, Germany, reports: — The Eucalypti Extract proved magnifT cently successful in very severe contuI sions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scaldings, broken ribs, and limbs. It effectually stays all inflammation and i swellings. Also, the services derived from it in all disorders of the respiraI tory organs, as croup, diphtheria, m 1 flammation of the bronchia! tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, &c, are not to be equalled by any other medicament. Lister, M.D., Professor, &c, London, the leading surgeon of the present lime, stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in Gail- | lard's Medical Journal, that the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antisep , tic (means of preventing putrefaction). (From the Clinical Record, of August, 1881).—Surgical Clinic of Professor M'lntyre, College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Louis Scirrhus of Breast—Excision: Eucalypti Extract employed as spray, and dressing. Eight days after operation Professors Bauer and M'lntyre noted the following condition :—No swelling, heat or discolora tion, near or in the wound, which has united fully; the patient allowed to attend to her household duties again. Record, Jan. 1882).—Hazard, M.D. Prof, of Path. - lociy and Diseases of the Mind, states: We hare examined half a dozen specimens of Eucalypti Extract. Sander's preparation was the only one which corresponds to scientific tests. Onr preparation is the orf" existing volatile extract, free cf «ii resinous particles. All other preparations of the Eucalyptus, no matter where manufactured, are crude, resinons oils, irritating and blistering, rather causing inflammation than staying it, and of readanger if erronously applied in throat diseases, <fec.
