The Custom authoiities objecting to insufficient accommodation on the schooner Orpheus, bound for Kimberley, eight of the passengers got over the difficulty by shipping as extra seamen at a shilling per month. Fully 300 bootmakere are out of work. They have made a new agreement that only journeymen and apprentices are recognised. All the improvers are thrown out of work. Wellington, June 3. The amended regulations for villiage special settlements on perpetual leases ate gazetted. The appointment of the Hon. M. H. Reynolds as a Member of the Executive Council is gazetted.
