The late heavy rains rendered the wicket on the Old Trafford Ground, Manchester, so very heavy that further play in the match between the Australians and the North of England cricket team has been abandoned, a a draw being declared in favour of the Home team, who wanted 40 to win and had nine wickets to fal'.
