The North of England match at Manchester had to be put off to-day on account of rain. Play will be resumed to-morrow, weather permitting. The following is the team selected to represent the Gentlemen of England in the match against the Australians, which commences at Lord’s to-morrow ; C. W. Rock, Cambridge; W. G. Grace, Gloucestershire; Lord Harris, Kent, C. Chri.stopherson, Kent; W. W. Surrey; W. E. Roller, Surrey ; S. W. Scott, Middlesex; G. B. Studd, Middlesex; G. G. Walker, Derbyshire; M. C. Kemp, Kent; and G. C. Vernon, Middlesex.
