ANDER & SONS' EUCALYPTI 1 EXTRACT. (Deutsche Med Wochenschrift 1879), Mosler, M.D. Professor at the University; Griefswald, Germany, reports:— Ihe Eucalypti Extract proved magnify cently successful in very severe contusions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scaluings, broken ribs, and limbs. It effectually stays all inflammation and swellings. Also, the services derived from it in all disorders of the respiratory organs, as croup, diphtheria, m flamraatiou of the bronchial tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, &c., are not to be equalled by any other medicament. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. Lister, M.D., Professor, &c., London, the leading surgeon of the present lime, stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in Gaillard’s Medical Journal, that the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antisep tic (means of preventing putrefaction). (From American Medical Journal Jan., 188’2). —Pitzer, M.D., Professoi Theory and Practice ©f Medicine, American Medical College, says—lt is the best remedy known in typhoma larial, typhoid .fever, erysipelas, diph theria, scarlet fever, small-pox, &c.; it effectually retards the. disintegration of the animal fluids, which might result in a general breaking-up of the blood and in death. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From St. Lonis Electric Medical Journal, Dec., 1881).—Cancer of the Tongue—Patient, Mrs W , 35 years old. Evidence of scrofulous dia thesis. Prescribed four drops to bf taken three times daily ; also, tongue wetted three times with the Eucalypti Extract. Treated as above for four weeks, then discharged cured. (J. H. Ruttley, M.D., Prof., *&c., Philadelphia).—Since, in the case ol Mr Mercer, of Kerang, who had been advised by the medical officers of the Bendigo Hospital to have bis tongue removed, like splendid results have attained through the application of the Eucalypti Extract. (From the Clinical Record, of August, 1881) Surgical Clinic of Professor M‘lutyre, College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Louis Scirrlms of Breast—Excision : Eucalypti Extract employed as spray, and dressing. Eight days after operation Professors Bauer and M‘lntyre noted the following dition :—No swelling, heat or discolora tion, near or in the wound, which has united fully; the patient allowed to attend to her household duties again. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Clinical Record, Sept. 1880). The. American medical profession uses, in gonorrhcea, as an injection, an emulsion of one ounce gum Arabic, in 30 o 40 ounces of water, applied four times daily. Eight drops given inwardly once daily, prevents effectually contaruination of the blood in foul disease. CAUTION. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (St, Louis Clinical Record, Jan. 1882) Hazard, M.D. Prof, of Pathology and Diseases of the Mind, states: We have examined half a dozen spec : - mens of Eucalypti Extract. All other preparations of the Eucalyptus, no master where manufactured, are crude, resinons oils, irritafino and blistering, rather causing inflan> rnation than staying it, and of readanger if erronously applied in throat diseases, tfec. No bottles genuine except those with labels heaving our signature and tradmark, and secured outside with pink wrapper and green band, the latter heaving our location and signature.
