Sailed, this afternoon, the steamship Tarawera, for the Bluff. Albany, April 20. The P. and 0. steamship Carthage, with English mails to March 19th, arrived at King George’s Sound this morning. (Received April 21, 1 p.m.) Sydney, April 21. It. is ascertained that the catastrophe at Lithgow Colliery was not due to an explosion of firedamp, as at first supposed, hut to an immense fall in the workings in the pit. The Legislative Assembly adjourn for the Easter holidays from the 22nd to the 28th April,
