The Friendly Societies, Rifle Volunteers, and Volunteer Fire Brigade (all in regalia) will muster at Dillman's Town at 11.30 a.m. sharp, walking down in procession, beaded by the Catholic Brass Band, to the KUMARA RECREATION GROUND, The following is the PROGRAMME OF SPORTS.
Handicap Foot Race.—loo, 200, 300 and 440 yards. Points, 4,3, 2, 1. First prize, L 4; second, L2; third, LI. Entrance, 2s ; acceptance, Is. Six to accept, or no race. Nominations will be received by the Secretary, at Pearn's Hotel, up to 8 p.m., on Saturday, April 24th ; acceptances on the ground. Running High Jump.—First prize, 15s ; second ; 10s ; third, ss. Entrance, Is, 100 Yards Handicap Foot Race. Boys' Race, twice round the course. For boys under 15. —First prize, 10s ; second, 7s 6d ; third, ss. Entrance, 6d. Go-as-You-Please, half-au-hour. First prize, L 3 ; second, LI 10s ; third, 10s. Entrance, 2s. 440 Yards Handicap Foot Race. Handicap Vaulting with Pole. First prize, LI; second, 10s ; third, ss. Girls' Race, for girls under 12. First prize, 6s ; second, 4s ; third, 2s. 200 Yards Handicap Foot Race. Half-Mile Handicap Foot Race.—First prize, LI; second, 10s ; third, ss. Entrance, Is. Standing High Jump.—First prize, 15s ; second, 10s ; third, ss. Four-Legged Race.—First prize, LI 5s ; second, 15s ; third, 7s 6d. 300 Yards Handicap Foot Race. Boys' Race, for Boys under 12.
