Wellington, February 5. The first day's meeting of the Wellington Raciug Club was held at the Hutt to-day. The weather was very fine and the attendance ahout 2500. The following is the result of the running for the Wellington Cup : Nelson ... ... ... 1 Waitiri 2 Pasha ... 3 Lady Emma, Grand Duke, and Speculator also ran. Nelson won hard held by three-quarters of a length. Time, 3mins. 36|secs. Dividends, £1 9s and £2 12s (£2 shares).
