[united press ASSOCIATION.I Dunedin, February 4. Henry Rabit, employed on the Dowling-street works, has been killed by a fall of earth. Palmerston North, February 4. Two men named Bouffe and Deuber went down a well at Stony Creek yesterday afternoon and were suffocated by foul air. It was some time before they could be extricated, and on the arrival of Dr M‘lntyre he pronounced life extinct for some time. Wanganui, February 3. A meeting of the Hon. J. Bryce’-s supporters was held yesterday, at which the following resolution was passed : “That having evidence that in the event of a dissolution of the House of Assembly, Bryce will contest the Wai(otara seat, this meeting pledges itself to support him against all candidates.” Napier, February 4. Matthew Donnely, aged 23, was brought to the hospital yesterday, supposed to be suffering from sunstroke, and died this morning. An inquest will be held. Auckland, February 3. Lyman, alias Sullivan, Kaipara bushranger, has been committed on four charges of burglary.
