TO CORRESPONDENTS.
G. W. The famous Strasburg clock was not injured in any way during the Franco-German War. The Cathedral in which it is erected was struck by a cannon ball or shell; but a white flag was hoisted upon it, and the noted building, whose spire is the second highest in the world, was spared. The clock and all its wonderful machinery are going still.
