Professor at the TJuivcrSJfcj, Griefswald, Germany, reports:— The Eucalypti Extract proved magnifi cently successful in very severe contusions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scaldings, broken ribs, and limbs. It effectually stays all inflammation and swellings. Also, the services derived from it in all disorders of the respiratory organs, as croup, diphtheria, m (lamination of the bronchial tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, &c., are not to be equalled by any other medicament. Lister, M.D., Professor, &c., London, the loading surgeon of the present time, stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in Gaillard’s Medical Journal, (hat the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antiseptic (means of preventing putrefaction). Eight days after operation Professors Bauer and M'lntyre noted the following con dition :—No swelling, heat or discolors tion, near or in the wound, which has united fully; the patient allowed to attend to her household duties again. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Clinical Record, Sept. 1880).- Tht American medical profession uses, in gonorrhoea, as an injection, an emulsion of one ounce gnm Arabic, in BO o 40 ounces of water, applied four times daily. Eight drops given inwardly, once daily, prevents effectually contamination of the blood in foul disease.
