Earl Granville lias been summoned to Osborne by her Majesty the Queen. The Daily News this morning an-nonnc.-'f the following as the personnel of the new Ministry : Mr Gladstone, Premier and Chancellor of the Exchequer. Sir William Vernon Harcourt, Home Secretary. Sir Farrer Heischell, Lord Hi»h Chancellor. Viscount Hampden, Lord Privy Sea). Mr Childers, Secretary for WhY. Mr Chamberlain, First Lord of the Admiralty. Mr Muudella, President of the Board of Trade.
Mr John Morley, Chief Secretary for Ireland. It is added that, probably, Earl Speucpr will be appointed Viceroy of India. Lord Kiraberley will go to the Foreign Office. Lord Rosebery will take the Colonial Secretaryship. Lord Granville will be made Lord President of the Council. London, February 1. Arrived, the P. and 0. Kaiser-i-Hind, from Melbourne December IBtb. —♦ [SPECIAL TO MELBOURNE AGE.] London, January 20. A deputation representing the members of the Loyal Irish Society waited yesterday upon the Marquia of Salisbury with au entreaty that the Government would not concede the demands uf the Parnellite party, but that they would stringently enforce the present ! aws for the preservation of order in Ireland. The deputation declared that if the demands of the Parnellite party for the legislative independence of Ireland was granted the dismemberment of the Empire must inevitably follow. The Marquis of Salisbury, in reply, assured ihe deputation that the Government had a thorough appreciation of its responsibilities in the matter and would be careful to discharge them properly. The deputation desired also to wait upon Gladstone with the object of unking a similar appeal to him as the representative of the Liberal party. Mr Gladstone however, has written tn them declining to grant the desired interview. In his letter he declares that the reports which have been published professing to state the policy to he pursued by the Liberal party with regard to the Irish question are equally mischievous and unfounded.
The deputation then appealed to Lord Harrington, who consented to receive them to-day.
January 21. A deputation representing the Loyal Irish Society waited on Lord Harrington to-day and u rated that the demands of the Parnellite Party for Legislative independence should not be entertained, Lord Harrington in replying was very guarded in his remarks, and reticent iu hinting what line of policy he intended to support.

January 30. The French Government are accusing England and Germany of dividing the Pacific Islands between them. In connection with the Island of Raiaetea, England ia to enjoy equal commercial advantages with France. Prince Bisma-ck justifies the expulsion of the Poles from Prussia, on the grounds that they are disloyal. It is believed that in the new Ministry Sir Vernon Harcourt will be Chancellor oi the Exchequer, and tbe Hon. Mr Chamberlain Secretary for Ireland.
