POSTAL NOTES PAYABLE IN NEW ZEALAND.
After the Ist January, 1886, Postal Notes for fixed sums will be sold at the following rates at all Money Order Offices in New Zealand for payment at any of those offices : For a Postal Note of Is. the charge will be id. Is. Gd. ~ |d. M Id. ss. ~ „ lid. 7s. 6d, ~ ~ 2d. 10s- „ „ 3d. 12s. 6d. “ ~ ~ 3d. 15s. „ „ 3d. 17s. 6d. „ „ 3d. 20s. „ „ 3d. The denominations of Postal Notes have been so arranged that any sum of shillings and sixpences, up to one pound, may be transmitted by means 'of not more than three notes; but, if any person should desire to transmit other amounts of pence, unobliterated stamps, not exceeding fivepence (5d.) in value, may be affixed on the back of any one Postal Note, and the amount of the Postal Note, with the value of stamps affixed to it, will be paid. Every person to whom a postal note is issued should keep a record of the number, amount, date, and name of office of issue, to facilitate inquiry if the note should be lost. N.B.—The Postal Notes will only be payable at Money Order Offices in New .Zealand. W. Okay, Secretary. General Post Office, Wellington, Ist December, 1885.
