POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICE HOLIDAY NOTICES.
On Friday, 25th inst., and Friday, Ist prox., the Post Office will be closed. Mails usually despatched on those days will be closed at 7 o’clock the preceding evening. On Boxing Day the Post Office will be open from 9 to 10 a.m., and the usual despatch of mails up to 10 a. m. will be made. The Telegraph branch will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and will open from 9 to 10 a.m. on Boxing Day. MAILS CLOSE For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, the West Indies, and China, via San Francisco, also the Sandwich Islands, the Northern and Southern ports of New Zealand, and Australian Colonies, (per the overland route to Christchurch), on Tuesday, December 29th, at 7 a.m. Money Orders may be obtained and Registered Letters posted up to 1 p.m. on Monday, 28th inst.
