A RUSH AT NELSON CREEK. . i—« An psteemed and reliable correspondent of the Grey River Argus at Nelson Creek sends the following to that, journal :—" Mining matters in this district are looking up. A rush that is likely to be a lasting benefit to the place occurred here this week, through Sinnott and party striking payable gold in the bed of Nelson Creek. The prospect that this lucky party obtained was 3dwts. to two dishes. It is a splendid coarse sample of gold, and would lead any person acquainted with raining to believe it belonged to a permanent lead. There is no doubt but this find is of great importance to this district, as there is plenty of ground to give employment to a largo number of miners. Too much credit cannot be given to this party for the way they have persevered in bottoming their paddock. Should this letter induce any strangers to come here they should remember that they will require heavy pockets and be prepared to do any amount of work, as the ground will be very expensive to put in working order."
