A GRAND BAZAAR in aid of the CATHOLIC CHURCH FUNDS will be held in Kiuuara during the coming CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS. Particulars will be advertised soon. NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council of the Borough of Kumara at a Meeting to be held on THURSDAY, the 17th day of September, 1885, to MAKE and levy a GENERAL BOROUGH BATE of ONE SHILLING in the Pound upon the Annual Value of the Rateable Property appearing on the Valuation Roll of the Borough of Kumara, for and in respect of the period commencing on the Ist April, 1885, and ending on the 31st March, 1886; the said late to be payable in one sum at the Town Clerk's Office, Kumara, on the Ist day of OCTOBER, 1885, where the Rate Book may be inspected by all persons interested therein.
